Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Virgin Relaxer.

Our stylists first assess hair health and may recommend strength or alternatives. If hair is severely damaged we may postpone treatment. We perform strand tests, use protective techniques, and offer conditioning plans to support safe relaxer results.

Expect a full appointment of two to four hours depending on hair length, thickness, and processing time. This includes consultation, careful application, processing, neutralizing, conditioning, and styling. Additional services like trims or deep treatments extend time.

A Virgin Relaxer permanently alters your natural curl pattern until new hair regrows, creating a straightened texture. It may subtly change shine and feel but isn't intended to remove color. We discuss expectations and test strands during consultation.

Arrive with clean, dry hair free of heavy oils or buildup; avoid recent chemical services. Bring a list of your current products and concerns. We'll perform a consultation and strand test to tailor product strength and timing for safest, best results.

Touch-ups are typically scheduled every eight to twelve weeks depending on your growth rate and hair condition. Always have retouches performed professionally to avoid overlapping chemicals on previously relaxed lengths, reducing risk of breakage.

Use sulfate-free shampoos, hydrating conditioners, and weekly deep treatments or protein-moisture balancing masks. Apply leave-in conditioners and heat protectants before styling. We also recommend salon-recommended systems to preserve strength, softness, and longevity of relaxed hair.
