A typical touch-up takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on hair length, density, and processing time. This includes applying the relaxer to new growth, neutralizing, conditioning, and styling. Haircuts or trims are not included and require a separate appointment.
When performed by our trained stylists, touch-ups minimize risk by targeting only new growth. We assess hair health first and use protective creams and careful timing. Overprocessing risks occur if appointments are too frequent or hair is already chemically compromised.
Most clients schedule touch-ups every 8 to 12 weeks depending on hair growth rate and condition. Our stylists recommend waiting at least eight weeks to avoid overprocessing and will advise an individualized plan during consultation.
Coloring and relaxer chemicals can interact, so we strongly recommend a separate consultation. Depending on timing and hair condition, we may perform color before or after relaxing, or schedule on different days to protect hair integrity.
Use sulfate-free shampoos, moisturizing conditioners, and protein treatments as recommended. Avoid excessive heat and tight styles for at least two weeks. Follow our stylist's personalized regimen to maintain smoothness, strength, and scalp health between touch-ups.
No - this service focuses on root relaxing, neutralizing, conditioning and styling only. Haircuts or trims are not included; please book a separate cut service if you would like your ends trimmed during the same visit.
